Te Ataakura Limited is committed to ensuring fairness and transparency in refund practices for any services we offer directly. This policy outlines the refund framework for promotional products, in-person events, or digital resources offered via www.MaoriEarthKnowledge.com, and clarifies how online course refunds are managed through our third-party learning platform, Thinkific.

2. Who Handles Refunds?

  • Courses purchased through Thinkific: Refunds are governed by Thinkific’s platform settings and policies.

  • Other offerings by Te Ataakura Limited (such as downloadable guides, speaking events, or direct consulting): These may be eligible for refund under New Zealand law.

3. Refund Eligibility (Te Ataakura Direct Offerings)

A refund may be considered if:

  • A technical issue prevents access to a paid download or registration, and the issue is not resolved within 7 business days

  • A live event or offering is cancelled by Te Ataakura Limited

  • A double payment or billing error occurs

  • The offering was misrepresented or fails to meet reasonable expectations under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA) or Fair Trading Act 1986 (FTA)

4. Refunds Not Provided For

Refunds will not be provided under these circumstances:

  • Change of mind or voluntary withdrawal after access is granted

  • Partial access or non-completion of the product (e.g., you download or view part of a resource)

  • Breach of Te Ataakura Limited’s Terms of Use

  • Any dissatisfaction related to Thinkific’s delivery platform (these must be directed to Thinkific)

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund for a product or service purchased from Te Ataakura Limited (not Thinkific), please:

  • Email kiaora@teataakura.com within 14 business days of your purchase

  • Include:

    • Full name and contact email

    • Date of purchase

    • Product or event name

    • Reason for the refund request and any relevant documentation

Requests will be reviewed within 10 business days.

6. Processing & Disputes

If approved, refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 7–10 business days.

In the unlikely event of a dispute, Te Ataakura Limited will work to resolve matters fairly and, if needed, submit to mediation under the New Zealand Dispute Resolution Centre.

7. Important Note on Courses

All course payments, content access, and refund requests related to our online learning modules are handled by Thinkific. Please refer to their support portal for refund eligibility, timing, and limitations:
